Professional Enhancement Workshops enable Humphrey Fellows to explore critical topics related to U.S. foreign policy priorities within or outside their field of study, broadening their perspective and gaining exposure to new U.S. institutions and locations. To engage with more underrepresented and underserved individuals and institutions, the Humphrey Fellowship Program engages with diverse U.S. higher education institutions, including minority-serving institutions, historically Black colleges and universities, tribal colleges and universities, community colleges, and vocational schools.
IIE invites qualified organizations, including academic and professional institutions, to submit a proposal to host a Humphrey Fellowship Program Enhancement Workshop. The award results in a Cost-Reimbursable Contract.
Two types of Enhancement Workshops:
- Thematic workshops have a broad focus on a critical global issue; expanding the Fellows’ expertise around the topic and developing their leadership skills through exercises and discussions.
- Skill-building workshops equip Fellows with practical skills essential for success in the 21st century workplace.
The recipient organizations will design a 3-5 day in-person workshop for approximately 30-40 Humphrey Fellows in either February or March 2025. The proposed workshop should be designed around one topic/skill set.
Offerors may propose budgets up to $30,000.00 for an in-person workshop.
