Humphrey Alumni are eligible to apply for an Alumni Impact Award of up to $10,000 to implement a project in their home country or region.
These grants (which are awarded annually on a competitive basis) allow Humphrey Fellows to pursue projects that use the knowledge and skills they acquired during their Humphrey Fellowship year.
The Impact Awards are jointly funded by the U.S. Department of State and IIE’s Fulbright Legacy Fund.
Deadline for receipt of proposals - August 15, 2009
The goal of the Alumni Professional Development Grant is to provide funding for a conference, workshop or professional activity that continues to draw upon the Humphrey experience by strengthening an alumnus/a's professional development.
Applications should focus on professional activities rather than research-based endeavors and provide a detailed explanation of how this grant would offer concrete benefits to the alum and/or to the larger community.
Below are some examples of Professional Development Grant activities:
Attend a conference or seminar relating to professional field
Enroll in a short training course or workshop enhancing specialized skills and/or knowledge
Arrange site visits or consultations with professional counterparts
The Alumni Professional Development Grant can be used for an activity anywhere in the world.
Humphrey alumni are eligible to apply for an Alumni Professional Development Grant three years after their completion of the program.
